LGBTQ STYMA Awards was created to thank those in the community who are often not recognized for the outstanding services and efforts they perform. These individuals/businesses have made the LGBTQ Community into the viable, successful and powerful community it is today across Texas.
NOMINATIONS | JAN 1 - JAN 28 OPEN
In order to be considered for a LGBTQ STYMA Award, you must first be formally proposed as a candidate for an award. You are welcome to submit as many nominations as you wish. You can be nominated for multiple awards. You are welcome to nominate yourself—COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS.
Note: Upon being nominated for an award, the candidate will be notified and asked if they would like to be considered for the award via email.
VOTING | FEB 01 - FEB 15
The nominees will then be added to the official ballot. Anyone is permitted to vote. When you go to vote, you will be presented with the list of each award through a data site that will keep all votes anonymous. Each nominee will be listed under the award(s) they were nominated for. You will be permitted one vote per award. While voting will be anonymous—and we will not know who voted for whom; will not release any information on the nominees. A nominee can vote for themselves or anyone of your choosing. The “winner” of each category will be based upon most votes received. Voting will occur on our website and we recommend that you follow our facebook page to stay up to date.
LGTBQ STYMA Awards Presentation | March 29, 2025
Upon completion of the nomination period, we will announce the top 5 nominees from each category. The nominee with the top votes for each category will be announced live at the LGTBQ STYMA Awards.
General Admission $40. Nominees ONLY is $30.
Tickets will be available for purchase on website starting January 2, 2025. Ticket purchase will be assigned a table from site.
Attend the award show to learn who this year’s winners will be! No filming nor FB Live allowed!
Dress Code semi-formal (No Jeans or no athletic wear).
Paparazzi with red carpet interviews will be on-site. Cash Bar will be available and dinner included for all attendees.
The LSA Board Members will choose The Jasper Award (Lifetime Achievement),
LGBTQ Activist of the Year and LGBTQ STYMA ICON Award, which are the highest honors of the year. While nominations will be accepted, voting will not occur for this award.
